- The encore of the mind | Hides the present from the past | A feeling never opened | Never shared at last | A runner in the distance | The glare from the sun | And all he ever tells himself | Is just too always run | A gun full of bullets | A tool from the Gods | And with each exit force | All he does is nods | Screams off in the distance | Cries occur too | A boy far away hears it all | But what is he suppose to do | A jumble mixed with words | A poem mixed with rhymes | Vodka mixed with orange juice | Nickels mixed with dimes | Things forgotten and thrown out | Piled in the trash | Burning away at your soul | Melts away into ash | All these things that you have read | Are all the things that you will find | Hidden deep and locked away | In the encore of the mind
